Profile
Valentin is an Associate Professor at the University of Valladolid, where he also earned his PhD in Mathematics. Since 1985, he has been actively involved in teaching and research at the Faculty of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering in Palencia. He received the University of Valladolid’s Extraordinary Doctorate Award in the 2013/14 academic year. He has been a member of the Spanish Society of Statistics and Operations Research since 1996. In addition, he is a research member of the University of Valladolid’s Recognized Smart Ecosystems Research Group and the University Institute for Research in Sustainable Forest Management since 2009. Valentin has supervised a doctoral thesis as well as 107 Bachelor’s, Final Degree, or Master’s Theses, and he has served on the examining board for one Doctoral Thesis and 98 other Bachelor’s, Final Degree, or Master’s Theses. He has contributed to 46 National, Regional, or European Research Projects and participated in 15 research contracts or agreements with public or private entities. He has 133 scientific publications, including 82 articles in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR). Valentin has presented 92 papers at national and international conferences and has reviewed 10 research articles for impact journals.
